A very good first game against Oakville RFC. Our concerns about the Canadian team being the size of giant redwoods was misplaced as the Penryn team was generally bigger. It was very hot and humid despite being 6 pm.
The boys started off absolutely brilliantly with excellent play and handling skills and plenty of aggression and determination. Within a few minutes the scoreline was up to 20 plus points for Penryn.
The whole squad got a good game and they really played very good rugby, if Redruth had been the opposition they would have been beaten by our boys, as they really were on form.
Another excellent hotel with a great pool which had the boys messing about until the early hours, they are however all being very well behaved and courteous to the staff and other guests, you are all obviously incredible parents! Off to the water park.
